I can't stand to look at that cat. I'm angry with myself for posting it but I have too much pride to take it down, so I'm going to post this picture of a bologna rat sandwich to push it off the main page a little:
This reminds me of one of the most closely guarded secrets of my childhood: my favorite food and the only thing I would eat for lunch when I was little were bologna and ketchup sandwiches. It's disgusting, and I demand to know how I became so fond of them in the first place. How on earth does a mother justify feeding her kid a sandwich with bologna and ketchup on it? How does anyone even invent such a concoction? I'll never forgive her.
I hope this is enough to push that cat picture down far enough...

why is bologna and ketchup so strange to you? it's like a hot dog with ketchup - same crap in bologna as hot dogs!

Thanks for the bologna sandwich image, dude... feeling so much better now...

Hey bologna and ketchup is awesome, especially when you add a Kraft single.

um....those were my favorite, too. and if i was lucky, my mom would put a slice of american cheese on it in my lunch box.
but then the cheese would melt and it started not tasting as good.
so no more cheese.
but i firmly believe in feeding your children bologna. if i had to eat it, so should they - dagnabbit!!!!
i feel 90.

I too ate bologna sandwiches for lunch...alternated with peanut butter (no jelly please). i did escape your condiment choice though. Thank you Dan for pushing the cat picture down the page in your benevolent mercy....

I just have to picture the cat with 2 faces about to eat that `mouseī. The cat approaches, turns head to one side to sniff with one nose, then turns head to the other side to sniff with the other nose, then turns head again to devour the helpless mouse with the one mouth connected to the esophagus. the mouse, paralyzed in fear... oh wait - it canīt move - itīs bologna...

It's rather amazing that BOTH the bologna, and the cat, made me sick to my stomach.. I'm hung. Everything makes me sick to my stomach right now. Interesting blog.

i hear ya, dan, i used to ADORE bologna and ketchup sandwiches, but being australian, i had to think a bit before i realised what you were actually talking about - i called it a 'belgium and sauce sandwich' when i was a youngster. hoorah for belgium/bologna/devon/circle meat sandwiches (many incarnations, evidently)

my mom is british so we have fried bologna sandwiches... it is the only way you'd get me near bologna or a hotdog...
and ketchup is gross almost always.
