Repilee

I don't want to know why anyone would build a humanoid robot girl, but I really wish they wouldn't have, so that I would never have seen these pictures:

Whatever you do, don't watch the video of the thing getting "sleepy". It makes me shudder. Mostly because it reminds me of how bad a movie AI was.

That was almost as fantastic as Haley Joel Osment shoving spinach into his circuits.

I think the creepiest part is that they emphasize that her skin feels natural. Hehe, I suppose it wouldn't be illegal for someone to molest a child if it isn't really human.

I'm reminded of the movie Cherry 2000. If they could make an android that always had a perfectly prepared meal ready when you came home from work, it wouldn't be a bad idea.

If you're gonna build a humanoid robot girl, AT LEAST give her a haircut without bangs. It's the humane thing to do.

And pitch in for a dress that costs more than a package of batteries.

It's nice to see they didn't go down the typical "Perfect Aryan specimen" route. Neither my looks or intelligence is threatened by a robot with Downe's Syndrome.

Then again we'll never expect the retarded robots taking over the world!!!

Now Repliee R1, tell me the good things that come to mind when you think of your mother...

It's only natural, that people who interacts with those, acts like it were a real person.

Personally, I dont like to call a girl like this an "it".
I don't like to think of her as an object...
To me, those are real.

There are things robots can do, and there are things, they cannot do.
As for humans, there are things, we can do, and things we cannot do. It's the same thing.
