I made my gramma a belated birthday card last week and I printed up this photoshopped image to accompany it, so that she might have something interesting to hang on the fridge:
I know, it's kinda creepy, and my gramma probably won't appreciate the subversive evil-clown humor with which I made it, but that's not the point. The point is that I put the picture in my work bag when I was running late this morning, hoping to get a chance to mail it off after my big work meeting. You may not believe it, but I try to convey a professional demeanor in client meetings, so I don't like it when homemade cards featuring the phrase "Danny Loves His Granny" fall out of my work folder and slide onto the conference desk for everyone to scrutinize, which of course is exactly what happened. Hopefully, I scooped it back up before anyone had a chance to read it. I'm not sure, but no one said anything. I did see one person give it a perplexed glance, but maybe that was just because I was in such a panic to cover it up.
I'm actually surprised that I never thought of rhyming Danny and Granny before. It only took 31 years for me to come up with that one.

Damn Dan... are you trying to give your Gramma a stroke or something??? Ha ha! I am certain your co-worker thought "What in the hell is wrong with this Dude?" Now if they were really clever they would terrorize you anonymously with random pictures of clowns in your cube/office or where ever you work. At least that is what I would do... hmmmm does that make me a bad person?? HAHAHAHA!! ;)

I think you should talk to your grandma or something so she doesn´t think you don´t like her... the clowns are disturbing.

I've seen creepier clowns... I'm sure she will appreciate the thought and effort.
I bet Granny loves her Danny too!

O.k. I'm sure I'm missing something. Something very profound. But I don't know what that would be.
You didn't really make that card for grammy.I mean, not really... did you?

There's one thing I find creepier about this photo than the clowns, themselves. Dan, did you photoshop a Depression-era photo of people looking for work?

This is the creepiest birthday card ever, I hope your Granny doesn't faint from shock ...
By the way, thought you might be interested since you're a big Gilmore Girls fan, I wrote up a post about the show here: http://dollface.net/

You win anyways. That was just pure evil Danny Boy. Very amusing - but evil nonetheless.

Weird how "blogs" bring the stranger world together.

Hello. A friend of mine in Scotland emailed me the George Bush screen saver that he found on your site. I want to know how to put it on my computer screen and didn't know how to ask you other than posting a comment on your blog. Your site is very funny by the way. Please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you and best of luck with granny.

Since I haven't visited in a while, I'm commenting on a couple of different posts here.
Hmmm... you know, the clowns really aren't all that creepy. (And aren't they mimes? That would make sense since they're holding signs with words on them.) Cute and very thoughtful card... and props to you for the Photoshop skills. Speaking of, I love the animation you Photoshop-ed yourself into!
Okay... Polka with Christine and now Life with Sarah? I'm jealous... I wanna hang out with "Cool Dan"... whine. :-)
As for April Fools Day pranks, mine didn't work out either... I had a nasty sinus infection and went to the doctor for it. So I planned to call my brother and sister-in-law to tell them that something much more serious was suspected and that I was referred to a specialist, but alas... I was too sick to even dial the number. Damn it all to hell!!
Finally, has anyone ever told you that you look like Brendan Fraser??

Those are gonna give me nightmares. And I don't even have issues with clowns!

Word on the street is that my granny liked it.
