The sincerest form of flattery.

My friend B* just sent this to me, and I think it is all too appropriate considering the fact that tonight is the first new Gilmore Girls episode in almost two months.

When two TV obsessions collide:

Watch the clip.

I am quite excited about the new episode coming on tonight. I'm wondering where the whole Luke/Lorelei storyline is going? The way of the breakup or the way of the marriage?

Also - what less-than-subtle indie-band name dropping will take place?

Will they show the Lane storyline?

Oh so many questions.

When I saw this on TV, I immedietly thought of you. Hilarious.

so NOT fair that my hometown cable doesn't get it until the re-run channel picks it up tomorrow. hope it was a good one!

It was a pretty good one. Not much in the development, except I'm confused about Sherlyn Fenn. She was in previous episodes as Jess' step mom and now she's Luke's daughter's mother? Why didn't they just get a new actress?

This ain't no spoiler, but Rory going all batty at the therapist and then referring to herself as Frances Farmer was the best ever.

Sherilynn's step-mom character had blonde hair. Totally different. Besides, I think casting the same acrtress for multiple parts is quirky, like in the original Avengers series where they only had a handful of "guest" actors and in one episode they were an agent and the next they were the bar tender in the small town.

It is getting a bit like a Twin Peaks reunion though. Not a bad thing in my book.

PS The comment about Luke not knowing Lulu's last name was hilarious. SEEEEEEEE...

I LOVED tonights episode! Yes, kinda less than stellar plot development, but I really needed to see the GG back together doing their silly back and forth bantering. And that Rory....having a breakdown like that. It was great!

Australian TV sucks sometimes.
(Well, a lot of the time, actually.)

We just had the first episode of S5 last week. So freaking far behind

I'm just pissed off about it... no, I'm pissed off about the spoiler for next week. Man, ALRIGHT ALREADY.

Of something bad happens someone getting so hate mail.

And the dress, not her AT ALL.

By Blogger elcynic, at 12:06 AM

Dan, I can't remember why Lane and dude broke up - help? Also, is anyone else horrified that the "perfect dress" made Lorelei look fat? She has such a great body. It takes a special kind of dress to make her have rolls...

I think all wedding dresses are ugly so I don't really know how to comment about that, but she did look a little fat in the guy.

Lane busted up with her guy after he had an egomaniac meltdown on stage and ruined the band's chances in front of the record exec or something. I dunno. I really don't care about the Lane storyline at all.

But elcynic is right. They need to stop with the too revealing teasers.
