Planetdan, now in 3D!

The other day I came across this guy's page, where he experiments with a way to present 3D stereo images on a computer monitor by simply putting two slightly different images into a single animated gif. Well you know that there are not many things that I love as dearly as animated gifs and myself, so here goes nothing:

Did I just blow your mind? It's just like an old Viewmaster! Apparently I'm easily impressed these days.

My bf and I were shopping for Christmas presents for his little cousins when I picked up a new Viewmaster. I started playing with it then announced "Hey! These new ones have 3D!"
Bf gave me a blank look. "The old ones had 3D, too." We argued for a bit, then decided to let it drop. I've spent the last month and a bit sure that I was right and he was wrong.
I'm not going to point him in the direction of this blog though. Whoops

Wow, that is trippy. I feel like I could reach out and touch you on your face. Neat.

woulda been nice to know that there are nekkid people on that guy's page.

now i need to buy my cubemate a latte to shut him up.

Dan, what's with the face though? I feel a little bit like I'm being scolded...you're so stern!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:03 AM

You can probably get away with the excuse that those nekkid people are works of art. Would you get in trouble for having Michaelangelo's David on your desktop? That angle might work...

As for Viewmasters, I don't remember non-3D versions and I can't imagine the point of them, but maybe things are different in your corner of the world.

Im getting motion sickness!

Sorry, Dan, but your 3-D gif just makes me think you have Parkinson's. If that photo were to speak, I'd expect it to sound like Katharine Hepburn.

You look like one of those dancing silouhetes in the fcuking mortgage refi ads! Say it ain't so, Dan!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 5:28 PM

You're 3D, but you're vibrating. In a not so good way. Well, good for you I guess. Hmmmm. I think this might be a tad creepy.

By Blogger Colleen, at 9:15 PM

A Dan that vibrates, nicceeee! I wuv you!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 11:33 PM

That anonymous comment about your Katherine Hepburn voice just reminds me that I still want to see video of you. Preferably the mullet local news video.

I was so enthralled by your moving picture that I got curious and went back to read some of your older posts. You are so funny. I like that it’s a fun loving blog.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 1:31 PM

That's cool and all, but I think you look like you are about to throw up.

By Anonymous Jennifer L., at 5:37 PM

You look like that Wang Chung video!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 6:32 PM

I just realized while studying the picture that the top of your head does not move. How disconcerting that is. But it's only a picture.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:44 PM

I feel dizzy, but I can't look away.

By Anonymous lola, at 3:27 PM

Okay, I just checked out that guy's site. I'm sorry, but I think the whole idea is, well, lame. The effect is more like the guy holding the camera couldn't stop his hand from shaking than anything else. It just sort of gives me a headache to look at.

By Anonymous lola, at 3:49 PM

"Every body have fun tonight, Everybody Wang Chung tonight!"

I get motion sickness way too easy. I think I'm gonna lose my lunch now.

looks like your jerking off....wheres your other hand?

FATTY

By Anonymous melissa mcgee, at 9:01 AM

I dunno Dan, it looks like you going to spew....

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9:03 AM

Please post something new? You are becoming the Mary Hart to my epileptic seizure.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 12:56 PM

Hurry up and post something new. The picture is condescending. At least change that.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 7:19 PM

Dude,
Get off your Wii and post something new.
thanks

By Anonymous Yolel, at 10:37 AM

yeah Dan...like for real, it's time...you're too squiggly.

Do it quick...while we all still love you.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:21 PM

Yeah...what's the deal? New post please, at least one...for Friday morning!!! It will make everyone really happy. Don't you want to make people happy?? Even if its just a picture of a wagon full of puppies, something!
